Our state of mind – the thoughts we have from moment to moment – can determine our ability to be happy, successful and satisfied with life. Unfortunately, we all have negative chatter clouding our minds. For some of us, it’s louder than others. When we feel negative, trapped and unmotivated, it’s because the negative chatter is filling our minds with such thoughts as – “I can’t do it,” “I’ll never be able to…” “I’m rubbish at…”
The only way to become unstuck and motivated to live a happy and fulfilled life is by taking control of our thoughts.
Positive affirmations are repeated statements which affect the subconscious mind, helping us develop a positive mindset.
Developing a positive mindset is one of the most powerful life strategies you can embody. Whether we want to gain a promotion at work, find a partner, change careers, lose weight or just be happy – we can only achieve success by changing negative thinking patterns and affirming to ourselves that we can do and be anything.
Whether you believe in this strategy or not, try it. Repeat one of the following affirmations to yourself first thing in the morning and throughout the day. Try it for a week and notice how your mood, attitude and perspective changes.
For self-love: “I am beautiful, inside and out”
For achievement: “I can do anything”
To find love: “My heart is always open and I radiate love”
