Benefits of dating in Sydney!

You know the saying variety is the spice of life! The benefits of dating in Sydney is you have access to a rich culture of fine restaurants, funky bars, gorgeous parks, museums, theatres, have I mentioned beaches and the breath taking harbour and much more!  You have so much opportunity to think outside the square, the world is your oyster!
Let’s look at the hotspots for those of you dating in Sydney.

Best Restaurants when dating in Sydney:

  • The Victoria Room: Darlinghurst – Stylish yet casual.

My personal favourite! The ambience is amazing gorgeous interiors, perfect lighting, they have some of the best cocktails around complimented with an amazing tapas menu. You’ll be sure to impress your date!  The best part about the Victoria room is you don’t have to commit to a full sit down dinner, you can take the evening it comes, start off with a few drinks at the bar and then decide on your dinner. After a great night take a short stroll outside and next door you will find delicious ice cream to finish off the evening. Spells perfect!

  • Quay Restaurant: Circular Key  – Enjoys the finer things in life.

Quay has some of Sydney’s most spectacular views, sweeping from the Opera House to the Harbour Bridge you’ll be sure to impress your date. This award winning restaurant provides you with a five dining experience. Don’t forget to order dessert, I highly recommend the black forest cake! It is mouthwatering I would have to say the most incredible dessert I have ever had!  After dinner you can enjoy a stroll along the harbour, maybe even potentially set up your next date at the Opera house. They also provide valet parking, the Quay restaurant has everything you could want and more!

  • Manly Wines: Manly Beach – Funky stylish dining with a great vibe!

Now this place is cute! The decor is like nothing else I’ve seen. Interesting interiors, great vibe, incredible cocktails and amazing food. Start with a giggly rose cocktail, before you indulge in the simple yet delicious menu. You’ll have lots to talk about with the funky interiors inspiring conversation, the smell of the fresh ocean at your fingertips. After dinner walk your way over to Ben and Jerry’s ice cream parlour, then walk your way to south manly to a hidden little beach just for the two of you. Oh romance!

Best outdoor activities when dating in Sydney

If you and your date are adventurers then why hot hit the harbour and enjoy the outdoors.

Hire a Kayak: Rose Bay and Manly are the two favourite picks! Be sure to go exploring the small surrounding islands, back a small picnic and enjoy it on the water, even a cheeky bottle of champers or wine.

Horse Riding: Get back to nature together!  There are so many wonderful places that provide exceptional horse riding experiences.  One of my favourite places is Otford farm 70km’s South of Sydney. It’s gorgeous, your ride your horse to the top of a mountain to a waterfall. It really brings you back to nature, after your ride the two of you can journey on to the coast and hit the beach!

Picnic by sunset: Pack a healthy picnic for sunset. Find a park with a gorgeous view. If you’re not big on putting together cut sandwiches and snacks, buy everything at you local deli. They have everything from cheeses, to sandwiches, to desserts and cookies. Remember a nice big blanket to get cosy.

Dating is Sydney: Why not be a tourist in your own home?

Rediscover Sydney together! It takes away nerves associated with a first date and adds adventure and fun.

This is a great method of thinking outside the square for the usual restaurant or drink at a bar.
Drive to the mountains: Discover the three sisters together; even if you have seen the dozens of times, it’s always fun with someone new. You could ride the gondola across the mountains; enjoy lunch in a cute little village. Go on a bush walk or trek out to the Jenolan Caves.

Sydney is surrounded by historic museums and art galleries not to mention gorgeous parks for you to explore.

Dating in Sydney is an exciting experience, so get out there! You have no excuses!
